No, Jamaican officials and Dorothy didn’t stop by yesterday. This is the Business and Labor Committee celebrating their hard work on passing HB238 through the House.

HB238, Cosmetology and Hair Braiding, lowers regulations and training hours for cosmetologists and beauticians to achieve licenses. Here’s a recap from the Salt Lake Tribune.

In committee, a bill that would no longer require the “Zion curtain” moved onto the floor. HB228 does away with the wall, required in restuarants that separates the bar area from the dining area. The Revenue and Taxation Committee passed it 9-3-4. Let’s turn to the Deseret News for more.
