Day 44 in the House. We’ll be on the Floor most of the day, debating Senate bills. The Senate 3rd Reading Calendar is all filled up. Yesterday, we passed a few appropriations bills which fund the growth in education and increase per pupil funding, as well as a 1% increase for all state departments. After several years of cuts, this money will help those departments where they need it most.

Here’s a few articles about some House bills the Senate passed yesterday.

Lawmakers to fund enrollment growth, boost per pupil spending (Lisa Schencker)

House OKs bill allocating $500,000 to defend Hill Air Force Base nationally (Loretta Park)
