Today on the Hill
Today was pharmacy Day on the Hill. Local pharmacy schools came to the Capitol to test the blood pressure for anyone who desired and to showcase their knowledge. It also provided an opportunity for them to talk about upcoming legislation that may change the pharmacy system in Utah.
Special Ed Schools
Representative Susan Pulsipher presented one of her bills in committee today. HB317 would prevent special ed schools from kicking out a student in the middle of the year. Currently, the schools are allowed to remove a student if they turn 22 during the school year, a practice that is not always done but happens, nonetheless. This bill would require that schools allow the student to finish out their school year.
