Legislative Management Committee Approves Contracts
Salt Lake City – Based on the recommendations of the evaluation committee and the Commission for the Stewardship of Public Lands, the Legislative Management Committee voted to approve several contracts for legal consulting and relations services to facilitate the transfer of public lands.
These contracts will allow the Commission for the Stewardship of Public Lands to oversee and promote the public education of the benefit of state managed public lands.
“The legal consulting and relations services are just one element of a multi-faceted approach to facilitating the transfer of public lands,” says Representative Keven Stratton, Co-Chair of the Commission for the Stewardship of Public Lands. “It’s important that the legal, legislative, and educational aspects of this approach be cohesive and complimentary, and these contracts allow us to do that.”
