Utah Opioid Overdose Emergency To Be Addressed At Legislature

SALT LAKE CITY – House Representatives Steve Eliason, Mike McKell, Lowry Snow and Carol Spackman Moss will present a group of bills targeted at the opioid overdose crisis that is sweeping the state. Opioid overdose is on the rise in Utah. Utah ranks 4th highest in the nation for drug overdose deaths. The Representatives, along with Dr. Joseph Miner of the Utah Department of Health, will explain how their legislation will address this public health emergency.
