Rep. Handy to Hold Press Conference on Alternative Fuels for School Buses
Lewis Bus Group to Introduce New Conventional Compressed Natural Gas School Bus

What:
Representative Stephen Handy and Lewis Bus Group are holding a press conference along with Thomas Built Buses to introduce the new Saf-T-Liner C2 compressed natural gas (CNG) Platform. Rep. Handy will also discuss draft legislation to fund alternative fuel school buses across the state.

The Thomas Built Buses Saf-T-Liner® C2 CNG is equipped with the Cummins ISB 6.7 G engine. The industry’s first Type C bus fueled by CNG, which creates up to 13 percent fewer greenhouse emissions than diesel. The C2 CNG bus offers driver ergonomics and maneuverability.
